Our family was on a history tour to study the theology that shaped the founding of our nation to celebrate America’s 250th. We not only got to tour the Hanover Tavern and Courthouse where Patrick Henry was introduced to the legal profession, but also ate dinner at the Hanover Tavern. We also visited churches where the young Patrick Henry heard Samuel Davies preach and where Patrick’s uncle who he was named after preached, as well as St. John’s church where he delivered his famous speech to the Continental Congress.

Anna found some flowers at Cricket Hill Battlefield, on our way to Colonial Williamsburg, where we enjoyed the garden at the Governor’s Palace.

Josh found some beautiful flowers on the Delaware River at Washington’s Crossing.
